Berry Creek Falls

Big Basin CA State Park

This is the bottom of a series of three waterfalls on Berry Creek. The other two are shorter, but equally striking in their way.

You can hike down here from Park Headquarters, or you can do I as I did this time, and hike up from the ocean. You can also ride a bike almost all the way from the ocean to these falls. There are numerous side trails off this unpaved bike path, which opens up lots of nice bike/hike combos. It's much easier to ride 12 miles and hike 8 miles, than to hike 20 miles!
